Who we are

RUNBTB INC., d/b/a runBTB (“runBTB,” “we,” “us,” “our”) operates runBTB.com and any site/app that links to this Privacy Policy (the “Service”).

What this policy covers

How we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information about visitors and users (“you”).

Privacy Policy - The Generals

1) Information we collect

Information you provide (Personal Information)
Examples: name, email, phone, shipping/billing details, payment info, profile details (e.g., username), customer support submissions. Personal Information does not include de-identified or aggregated data.

Collected automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically log: IP address, device IDs, browser type, referring page, pages viewed, searches, time/date, and usage stats. We use cookies and similar tech (SDKs, pixels, tags). See Digital Advertising & Analytics.

Location data
If you enable device location, we may collect precise location; otherwise, we infer approximate location via IP.

Combined sources
We may combine information we collect from you with information from other sources.

2) How we use information

  • Provide & support the Service (including order/shipment emails and account features).

  • Communicate updates, newsletters, offers (unsubscribe anytime).

  • Personalize & improve the Service and perform analytics.

  • Safety & compliance with laws; protect our rights and users.

3) How we share information

  • Profile visibility: Other users may see your username and any info you add to your profile.

  • Affiliates: May receive info and handle it under their policies (where law requires, we’ll offer a choice).

  • Service providers: Payment processors, analytics, cloud storage, customer support, logistics, and similar vendors.

  • Referral partners: We may credit referring sites using codes/cookies and share select transaction info to attribute referrals.

  • Legal & safety: To comply with law, respond to legal requests, protect rights, property, or safety.

  • Business transfers: In mergers, acquisitions, financing, or bankruptcy.

  • With consent / at collection: As disclosed at the point of collection.

  • Aggregated/de-identified: May be shared without limitation.

4) Digital advertising & analytics (cookies, SDKs, pixels)

  • We and partners use cookies/SDKs for site performance, personalization, analytics, and interest-based ads (on our properties and others).

  • Your choices:

    • Browser controls: set to notify, limit, or block cookies (some features may not work).

    • Device/App choices: use platform settings and DAA AppChoices (iOS/Android/Amazon) where available.

    • Google Analytics: see Google’s “How we use data” and opt-out add-on.

    • Social platforms: adjust ad preferences in your account settings.

    • If you clear cookies or switch devices/browsers, update preferences again.

5) Your choices & rights

  • Marketing emails: Click Unsubscribe in any marketing message.

  • Account & data: Review/update your profile any time.

  • Access/Deletion: Email care@runBTB.ca (or use in-app account deletion if available). We’ll take commercially reasonable steps to honor requests and may retain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

6) Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information. No Internet transmission is 100% secure—use up-to-date browsers with SSL support.

7) Third-party links & social plug-ins

Our Service may link to non-runBTB sites/apps and integrate third-party tools. Their privacy practices govern your interactions with them; review their policies before use.

8) Children

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 16 and the Service is not directed to them. Parents/guardians: contact us if you believe a child provided Personal Information; we will delete it.

9) Changes to this policy

We update this policy periodically and will adjust the “Effective” date. For material changes, we’ll notify you (e.g., email, prominent notice on the Service). Changes take effect upon posting unless stated otherwise.

11) Region-specific disclosures

Ontario / Canada (including PIPEDA & Digital Privacy Act)

  • We are not governed by FIPPA (public-sector law), but we commit to industry-standard safeguards and applicable private-sector privacy laws (including consent requirements and breach notification under Canada’s Digital Privacy Act/PIPEDA).

  • On consent, we may collect, use, and disclose information for security, operations, analytics, and related purposes.

California (CCPA)

Scope: Applies to California “personal information” as defined by the CCPA (with statutory exclusions).
Categories collected/disclosed: Personal/online identifiers; contact info; commercial/transaction data; Internet/network activity; geolocation; inferences; and sensory info (e.g., call recordings) as applicable.
Purposes: Provide and improve the Service; auditing; security/fraud prevention; debugging; customer service; payment/fulfillment; advertising/marketing/analytics; research; short-term transient use; and other operational purposes; legal compliance.
Recipients: Service providers; certain affiliates; government entities (as required).
Your CCPA rights:

  • Know/Access the categories/specific pieces collected, sources, purposes, categories disclosed/sold, and categories of third-party recipients.

  • Delete personal information (subject to exceptions).

  • Opt-out of “sale”/sharing of personal information (including via cookies/trackers used for cross-context behavioral advertising). Use the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link in our footer (or in-app: Profile → Settings → Do Not Sell My Personal Information).

  • Non-discrimination for exercising CCPA rights.
    How to exercise: Email care@runBTB.ca (or mail the address above) with the right(s) you wish to exercise. We’ll verify your request (we may request additional information). You may designate an authorized agent.
    Financial incentives: From time to time we may offer discounts/promo codes tied to data collection/retention; details and value assessments appear in program terms. Participation is optional; you may withdraw at any time.

Nevada

Chapter 603A permits Nevada residents to opt-out of future sales of covered information. We do not currently sell covered information. Contact care@runBTB.ca for requests.

EEA/UK/Switzerland (GDPR)

  • Controller: runBTB.

  • Legal bases: Performance of contract, legitimate interests, consent (e.g., electronic marketing), legal obligations.

  • Marketing: We send marketing only with your consent; you may withdraw anytime.

  • International transfers: We use recognized transfer safeguards (e.g., adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses).

  • Your GDPR rights: access, portability, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection (including to direct marketing), and withdrawal of consent; lodge a complaint with your local authority. We may request proof of identity to process requests.

  • Retention: We keep data no longer than necessary for stated purposes, legal obligations, and legitimate interests.
