Sustainability Commitment

Nov 1, 2025,

At runBTB—BACK TO BASICS—we believe the most sustainable approach is to make fewer, better, longer-lasting products. Through learning from traditional practices (acupressure, thermal therapy) and applying modern material science and thermal conduction knowledge, we design skincare instruments and products that can deliver optimal impact without excess.

Our commitments

  • Design for longevity. We prioritize quality over quantity (e.g., stainless-steel bodies with exceptional finishes, such as18k gold) and natural elements meant to be used and cared for over many years—not months.

  • Responsible materials. We work with suppliers to improve traceability of materials, and we favor materials that are non-porous, corrosion-resistant, and maintain performance with simple care.

  • Repair, care & reuse. We publish care guidance, offer reasonable replacement components where feasible, and continuously explore refurbish/repair options to extend products' life cycle.

  • Lean packaging. We minimize packaging volume and components, move toward recyclable/reusable formats, and avoid unnecessary coatings and inserts wherever practical.

  • Measured improvements. We track the impact of our materials and logistics to identify reductions (e.g., consolidating shipments, right-sizing packaging, and selecting lower-impact options when available).

  • Ethical manufacturing. We expect safe, fair working conditions and compliance with applicable standards in our supply chain, and we review partners accordingly.

How we put this into practice

  • Build tools from robust metals and natural materials that can last a long time.

  • Favor modular or replaceable elements (e.g., grips/handles) where they can extend a product’s life.

  • Provide care instructions that keep performance high and waste low (cleaning routines, storage, and warming/cooling best practices).

  • Continually test finishes and assemblies to improve durability and reduce premature wear.

Feedback invites progress. Tell us where we can do better: care@runBTB.com (subject: Sustainability).
